Samuel John Stone

After things settled down, for a week, we went to have our third child. (3 huh?)

We found out at about 6 months pregnant that our sweet boy would be born with a heart defect, called tetralogy of Fallot.  He will face many heart surgeries throughout his life as well as some slow developing due to that he has been diagnosed with 22q11 deletion. A genetic disorder that occurs on his 22nd chromosome.
Due to his health, we delivered at the University Hospital in Salt Lake, and he was taken to Primary Children's Hospital within a hour or so of his birth.

Just about to push, obviously in between contrations.

Our miracle, Sam.

One of the hardest moments of my life, I saw my baby like this and then he was gone.

But within a few hours, I was blessed to see him again.

 So were Jack and Emma.
The next morning they let us hold him.

Our first family photos. All 5 of us.

We spent a day over a week at Primary's, doing all sorts of test, to find out we got to bring Sam home to grow his body in preparation for his first surgery (around 3-6 months of age).

We are a blessed and eternal family!
Enjoy.
