Florida BABY!

Okay, as promised, this post is all happy, not like the previous! Here is the scoop, there are so many pictures, and I wish they showed more of what we did, and how much fun we had. Such as Jack and the beach. They are best of friends now! So to start we got off the plane and Jen (great friend we stayed with, also included will be Rob and their daughter Savannah & son Porter) took us straight to the beach, where Jack fell in (by the way, thats the "Spring Break Beach" in Miami). The next day we spent the morning touring Rob's school and then again the BEACH!

More beach the next day, with a bit of walking the pier in Fort Lauderdale. It was so beautiful! Drew and I, later went shopping at the biggest mall I have ever seen or could imagine and found that sweet suit you see. With a few alterations , Jack will be ready for Drew's brother's wedding this winter!
The next day was Swap Meet, where Drew had a fresh coconut, (not that great, doesn't taste too much like the coconut we know) and then had a date night with Rob and Jen at the Cheesecake Factory.
Saturday, we headed to a Turtle Refuge type place. Jack kissed the turtles. We then headed to yet another beach and to some snorkeling (sorry about the dorky/ not attractive pic, not sure what I'm thinking posting it) and just relaxing. The boys kinda pooped out after. Comfy Porter?

Drew caught the sleeping picture, usually Jack NEVER sleeps with us, but when you are in the same room and want to caught a few extra zzz's you allow it. This particular morning, Jack woke me up by tickling me! Last day, we spent on the Gulf Coast just walking the beach and enjoying a quaint little town. We had an AMAZING time (minus the 17 hour way home). Thanks Allreds!!!

BOYCOTT DELTA!

This post comes to your from Atlanta, Georgia. Andrew and I just spent the most fun week with our great friends in Southern Florida. The beach daily, warm weather, everything you can just imagine and more, it was a blast.
Little did we know we wouldn't be making it home quite as we would like. We had a flight from Fort Lauderdale to Atlanta, and then another to Salt Lake. We were thrilled, Jack was behaving so well, acting just tired enough as we landed in Atlanta to assure he would sleep straight through to SLC and home! We even landed early, we thought sweet, we knew it would be a rush to get to our next gate in the second largest/ busiest airports in the U.S., and thought great we will have tons of time (I think I even thought, might as well grab some ice-cream).
Unfortunately, when we landed our gate was being used. We sat back, not worried, I mean come on we were early. Slowly the time ticked by, and we started to worry; Come on now who double books a gate? Summary: we got off the plane at the moment our next one took off. Now comes for the worst part... the ticket counter. As you enter this nice line you simply scan your ticket and tell you where the nice people at Delta have re-booked you to. Ours read this: 9:45 AM departure to NYC Kennedy Airport; 3:00 PM departure to SLC arriving 7:45 PM! Kindly they will also offer you a discounted hotel. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?!!
We got in line where the lady kept saying we can't offer you anything else. "We cannot travel another 24 hours with a 20 month old!" is all we kept saying. Fortunately Delta has this nice thing that they get to blame the delay on Air Traffic Control, which means they are not liable. (aka: Screw You). After 10 minutes she says, "Okay I can get you to Denver by 10 and to SLC by noon". We jumped of course that would be better. I thought you didn't have anything else. Now we are in a hotel in Atlanta, that we paid for and get to wait another day to get home. All because Air Traffic Control messed up everything for Delta?
All in all, I am really not that upset. I am overly blessed: Jack has been so great, we actually can afford to go to be at this hotel where we can get some sleep (mostly jack), there is a gas station next door so we can get diapers without a taxi ride, etc. I mostly wanted to post this because I knew that even e-mailing Delta with a letter wouldn't do anything. All I can think is asking you all to join Drew and I in our boycott of Delta Airlines. That sounds silly now that it is down, but there it is.
Oh, and don't worry once we are home I'll post being happy and cheerful with many pictures from our fabulous trip!
Sorry this ended up being really long. Thanks!

Fancy Night

Last night Andrew and I got to get all dressed up and go to UVU's President's Inaugural & Scholarship Ball. A six course meal (at $150 a plate, we didn't have to pay), entertainment, listening to the new UVU President and his father (who is Elder Jeffery R. Holland, by the way), and just hanging out with some great company! It was so fun!
Sad I remembered the camera when we were walking out, oh well! Enjoy!

Great Weekend & Playdate!

We had some fun visitors this past week. Drew's parents were in town for General Conference! We had our second house guests! It was a blast. Jack definitely enjoyed the attention, and his uncle Trevor that was the best tickler! (as you can see below). Sadly I got pictures with Grandma and Trevor but not Grandpa! :( Jack is so in love with his Grandpa, he would leave for a minute and the moment he left Jack would cry out "PA! PA!", until he returned.

This is Elder Teddy, a gift from Grandpa and Grandma!
I apologize for not getting more pictures of our fun weekend.
Yesterday, Jack and I got together for play date with Olivia and Jeni--2 of our favorite people! They have so much fun together. Jack kept loosing sight of Olivia, then find her and run at her yelling "NANI" (his name for her).
"Balwoon"
Here Olivia and Jack are taking a rest in the tunnel.
So FUN! We love friends.
To come will be pictures from our trip to Florida for Fall Break!
I know you can't wait, can you?
