Patriotism & The Big Apple

As promised this post is much for exciting than the last. Andrew and I just got back from a trip to Washington D.C. and New York (yes all alone..10 days!!). It was so much fun, but we missed our boy and are glad to be home.
We went with Andrew's work, a conference they go to/ run every year. D.C. was just conference, we had a few days to get out a see a few things, but mostly we just worked for the conference (both of us...which made it a cheaper trip, so nice). We both have been there before so we hit up somethings we have never seen. First, Mt. Vernon the home of George and Martha Washington, we also went to the archives & Ford's Theater.
One cool thing was we were in D.C. for the Healthcare bill passing. Protesters everywhere, hilarious signs, and people yelling at any stranger on the street if they had differing opinion. Andrew even joined in the protest!

New York was just fun! We did nearly everything. Staten Island Ferry, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, saw three musicals, Billy Elliot, Mary Poppins & Mama Mia (my favorite); We went to FAO Schwartz Toy Store (picture of us being from Harry Potter), did Canal Street in Chinatown, Little Italy, shopped the largest Macy's in the world (plus many more stores) and even saw the United Nations (saw even more on our long walks around the city)

We had an amazing time, and were so excited to see Jack that Drew and he slept next to each other that night :).
Enjoy!

Random & Boring

Life in March always seems a little dull, as I yearn for a warmer time... some days we can get outside, others we are STILL stuck indoors as snow storms cover the ground. Therefore, as I thought about what to post, I had nothing--we are quite boring.
So, here is what I've got a couple of random pictures I have taken in the last few weeks...
Jack's tent. He is way into tents/ houses we build out of blankets, the couch, and chairs.
Devouring a cookie! (which he full well deserved from finishing his dinner)
The aftermath...
My helper boy! Hope this sticks around in June!
Bus Driver! (hopefully not a look into his future--sad I really laughed at myself as I wrote that, told you March is sad)
I promise a more exciting next post, but it's March, and well that's all I've got!
Enjoy!

Simply Happy

Life is just great. I apologize for my last post. What is so amazing about life is that we have those days and then one thousand great days to make it all worth it! (I just hope I haven't scared any of you away with my whining last week). I couldn't be a more blessed lady!
Look what I have in my life:
These two amazing boys! Jack was so excited to watch You Tube videos on the computer with Dad--not only that but in a TENT! How exciting huh?
Today, we went swimming! Don't worry it is indoors, I wish we could go outside already, but this indoor pool is incredible. It is basically a water park indoors. Jack was a little wimp at first and within the first 10 minutes said, "Mom, All done". Once we got him used to it, he was loving life! (unfortunately my pictures are from the "nervous nelly" phase)

Swimming is a amazing because it always makes this happen:
Side note: For those who know him, I think that he looks just like my dad here. The pose could be apart of that too.
I figured I should take a few belly pictures for this little girl, too. So here you go, 26 weeks! Oh, and have you noticed, the countdown on your left is down the the double digits of days left!!!
Enjoy!
