Our Elf

Have you ever since Disney's Prep and Landing? It's a cute 20 min. show about these two elves:

Well, it was on so we DVRed it. Jack woke up extra grumpy from his nap (yes, a curse I have given him) so, I handed him a drink and put this show on for him. Once over, he immediately told me what he needed: (all on his own might I add)
1. His green hat and gloves
2. Glasses (which I had to go out to the car to get for him)
Here is his creation:
Dear Santa,
Jack is ready to help whenever you call!
Enjoy.

Didn't we JUST do this?

Yes, I know we had pictures taken like 4 months ago, but really those were for Emma with one family picture, and she's growing so fast, She's already 6 months!
Plus we have the greatest photographer/ best friends so it works really nicely for us.
I figure this gets all things covered:
Emma--6 months
Jack-- 3 years (yeah, only 2 months away, CRAZY)
Drew and I-- 5 years in a month
And of course, my beautiful family!

We have fun together!
I love all the pictures! Thanks Kara (see more of her stuff here)
Enjoy.

Thanksgiving = Picture Overload

Our Thanksgiving this year was great. It was quite different than what we planned but, I'll skip that very long story since let's be honest all we want are pictures!
We had some visitors come at the beginning of the week, Andrew's brother and family. Unfortunately all but one got sick so we spent most of the time just hanging out at home (meaning I got one picture). We got just lucky enough to not catch the sickness.
Here are the kiddos, Fay, Layleigh, and Jack curled up watching Toy Story 3.
This really has nothing to do with the holiday, but I'm loving Jack and Emma's relationship lately. No one can make her laugh like Jack can. I know that he's on top of her but she was just a giggling, so I grabbed the camera instead.
Now on to the main event!
Here's my girl all ready to go to the feast!
and My boys!
Me and my love (courtesy of Jack)
Please don't judge me, I know this is not lady like at all. But, when I mentioned to my dad that I've always wanted to grab the turkey leg and go to town, he handed it to me. (I only took one bite).
About to do dessert. Don't they look alike?
We really relaxed the rest of week and threw in few fun things (Black Friday of course)
Today we walked the mall and noticed no line to Santa. Of course, they don't let you take pictures unless they take it and we buy it so, no pictures (good thing we'll see another one later). Jack was hilarious. He walked right up to him and said, "I want presents". Not the most polite but I think he gets the idea.

Tonight we took Trax to downtown Temple Square to see the lights.
Jack was thrilled to ride the train (he's been obsessed since Toy Story 3, the beginning scene).
Emma was probably the warmest of us all.

My sistas! Minus one.

Our family.
I'm sure grateful for all my blessings, especially this great weekend.
Now on to Christmas! I cannot wait.
Enjoy!

Thankful

With Thanksgiving a week away, I thought I would take the time to share what exactly I'm thankful for this year. It's a lot, prepare now.

I'm thankful for me! I know silly one to start with, but what I mean is I'm thankful for my physical body, the things I can do. (Plus I really like myself too, a good thing I think)
I'm thankful for our house--or condo--I really love it. It is quaint, but we are so blessed to have it.
I'm thankful for my ward, and my calling. I really enjoy where we live and I love the young women.
I'm thankful for UVU. One for the education it gave me and my hubby. Second, for Andrew's work and that I can stay home and not work because of it.
I'm thankful for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Learn more here.
I'm thankful for the Book of Mormon, sure has helped me lately-- A LOT!
I'm thankful for the temple, so I can be sealed to my family FOREVER. (This is the D.C. temple, sadly I have yet to go inside that one).
Which brings me to... FAMILY.
Families are amazing.
I'm thankful for my families! I have two of the most incredible families.

I'm especially thankful for my little family.
First, my Andrew, my husband, my love.
He works incredibly hard.
He loves me.
He is the best dad.

He is an amazing priesthood holder.
And, most of all he gave me these:
I'm thankful for my children. They made me a mom. I've never done anything so difficult, but more rewarding than motherhood. I love it, and I love them!
I'm thankful for my life, it's a great life. I am so blessed.
So this year, I'm just plain THANKFUL!
Enjoy.
